CRUNCHES
How to do a crunch:
- Lie on floor on your back with elbows out to the side, bend knees and put the feet flat on the ground.
- Exhale and lift only shoulder blades and upper back with fingertips on the side of the head.
- Inhale as you slowly lower the upper body.
Muscles involved in a crunch:
- Abdominals
Tips to keep in mind:
- Keep breathing throughout the entire exercise
- Keep belly in and tighten abdominals
- Don't pull up just the neck, but lift the upper body and have your fingertips supporting your head not your neck
