Welcome to BE FIT! This fitness program is made especially for you, because you have the option to choose which fitness components you would like to improve and you also get to choose the length of each workout.
Fitness Test:
On the Home page there is a fitness test that you should have taken before visiting this page, but if you haven't make sure you do before starting your program. The fitness test will show you the results of each component except toning. Which ever component/s you choose will later be assessed. The fitness test will give you a chance to assess yourself in how much you have improved by comparing your results of before and after. This means that is important to record your results in a journal of any kind and also your fitness goals.
Components:
The 4 components that you can choose from are listed on the header of the website, which are:
- Strength
- Cardio
- Flexibility
- Toning
If you click on the component header it gives you a brief explanation about which area/s of the body it benefits and why it is important. Following the brief description, there are mini-tables that show workouts with the correct timing on how long you should do each exercise, including warm up, break and cool down periods. For example, in the component Strength there are 5 exercises. By looking at those timed mini-tables, you can choose a Strength workout of only 5 minutes or up to 30 minutes. This includes timings for you to either do all the exercises or repeat one exercise 5 times. At the bottom of the page, there is additional information to keep in mind for that particular component.
Exercises:
Under each component you have a list of exercises that normally ranges from 4 to 6 exercises. On each exercise page there are instructions and pictures that will guide you through the steps, so don't worry if you don't recognize the name. :) There are also tips that I recommend you should take a look at, because proper form is essential for a better outcome and prevents injuries. One of the best things about the Be Fit program is that you don't need any equipment. If you have a medical condition please check with your doctor before starting the program.
